Step-by-Step Overview

1. Prepare your workspace

Place the watch face-down on a soft cloth or pad to protect the caseback and crystal from scratches.

2. Remove the original Velcro strap

Use the forked end of your spring bar tool to gently compress the spring bar between the lugs.

Carefully release one side of the strap, then repeat on the other side. Set the original strap aside.

3. Position your new strap

Insert the spring bars into the ends of your Perpetual Straps band.

Line each strap end up between the lugs so the spring bar tips are aligned with the lug holes.

4. Click into place

Compress one end of the spring bar with the forked tool, guide it between the lugs, and align the tip with the lug hole.

Slowly release pressure until you feel or hear a small “click.” Repeat for the other side, then lightly tug the strap to confirm both spring bars are fully seated.

5. Final fit check

Put the watch on your wrist, confirm the strap sits flush with the case, and adjust the sizing holes until the fit feels secure and comfortable.

CTS Strap Guide

Swap out your traditional watch strap or bracelet for one that fits your wrist perfectly.

Contents

  • (2) FKM Rubber CTS Straps
  • (1) Leaf Spring Deployant Clasp
  • (2) Spring Bars (for clasp connection)
  • (1) Single Edge Utility Blade

Before You Begin

  • Place your watch on a soft, stable surface such as a microfiber cloth.
  • Have your included utility blade and a spring bar tool (or fine pin) ready.
  • Ensure your original watch band has been removed.

Familiarize with the Clasp

(See Image 1 & 2)

Hold the Leaf Spring Deployant Clasp between both hands.

Gently open it to view the internal mechanism.

Strap Sizing

  • Install the uncut FKM Strap on both sides of your watch, excluding the Leaf Spring Deployant Clasp.
  • Grip the top of the Single Edge Utility Blade with both hands, using your thumb and index fingers for support, and press straight down once it is in position along the appropriate section line.
  • We advise cutting one section at a time and then connecting the FKM Strap to the Leaf Spring Deployant Clasp to determine the ideal size.
  • The primary objective would be to cut just enough sections to allow for the micro adjustment function of the clasp and ensure that your watch fits properly centered on your wrist.

Cutting to Fit

(See Image 3)

Using the included Single Edge Utility Blade, align the blade vertically above the designated cut line on the strap.

Place both thumbs firmly on the blade and press straight down in one controlled motion.

Cut one segment at a time, then test the fit. You want enough slack for the clasp’s micro-adjustments.

Installing the Strap to the Clasp

(See Image 4)

Insert the freshly cut end of the strap into the clasp, aligning the holes for the spring bar.

Use a spring bar tool or a fine pin to compress the bar and secure the strap in place.

Repeat on the opposite side.

Troubleshooting & Tips

  • Spring bar won’t click in:
Make sure the bar is centered between the lugs and the tip is directly over the lug hole before releasing pressure.
  • Strap feels too tight or too loose:
Try a different sizing hole first. If you’re still not happy with the fit, reach out and we’ll help with sizing advice.
  • Worried about scratches?
Always work slowly, with the watch on a soft cloth. Never force the spring bar, if something feels stuck, reset your position and try again.
